Prohelp - for all their excellent professional legal guidance and support. Lloyds TSB - funding towards Administration Officer/Volunteer Co-ordinator position at the new Centre. Also, of course, thanks go to carers, volunteers and staff, all of whom have played a big part in the smooth transition from one small office tucked way in Derwent House, Newbold to the new Drop-in Centre at West Bars.

The official opening of the Chesterfield Carers Centre took place on Tuesday 19th April, which proved to be most enjoyable event, where carers, volunteers, professionals and staff got the opportunity to join together for this grand occasion.

Joyce Adams one of the first Carers registered with Derbyshire Carers Association kindly accepted our invitation to officially "cut the ribbon". Since this photograph was taken, regrettably we have to announce that sadly Joyce passed away recently, and our deepest condolencies are with her family.
