Position papers:
Dr Arthur Jones has produced many position papers for CST on themes of Christian
education such as Biblical Foundations, Worldview Analysis and Critique,
Nurture and Development, Communities and Cultures.
Advisory papers:
These papers provide practical advice on school management issues. Fighting
the Secular Giants , co-authored by David Freeman with Church leader Rev. Steve Thomas, has been
written to explain the vision of Christian education to parents and teachers. David
has also written Passing on the Baton , a booklet to help parents
who are beginning to explore the option of Christian education for their children.Other

| Dr Arthur Jones BSc, MEd, PhD, CBiol, MIBiol is a Research Consultant for Curriculum Development to the Christian Schools’ Trust. He is also Development Manager and Senior Tutor at the West Yorkshire School of Christian Studies (WYSOCS, www.wysocs.org.uk) and a tutor and course writer for Sarum College, Salisbury. During a teaching career spanning almost thirty years, he has been a college lecturer, schoolteacher, teacher trainer and head teacher. Ten years were spent in India and Nepal. He has also worked in community relations and was a member of the Executive Committee of Bolton Racial Equality Council. His PhD was a wide-ranging exploration of biological origins that examined the central role of metaphysical commitments in science. He is the author of two books: Science in Faith: A Christian Perspective on Teaching Science (CST, 1998) and No Home & Alone: A School Programme on Homelessness (Global Concern, 1999). |
| David Freemen was founding head teacher of The King's School in Oxfordshire for 17 years. Since 2001 he travels widely in the UK, Africa, India and other countries training teachers and establishing schools. David has been involved in CST since its inception and is now Assistant Director, responsible for leading the policy and development team. |
