With the Parish Office closed for two weeks the newsletter is a little 'thinner' than usual! Happy Christmas & New Year.

Christmas morning
Please note that the Friary church will be locked immediately after the 11.30 Mass on Christmas Day morning.

Parish New Year’s Eve family party/Disco
Friary Hall 31st December, 8pm – 12.30am. Tickets £5, children under 12 half price. Bring your own drink and food. Contact Alison 409041

Parish Office
The Parish office will be closed from Monday 23rd December, re-opening on Monday 7th January 2008.

Petros Path – is held once a month with Father Simon and is aimed at young people from year 7 plus. For more information see Fr Simon or call Maya 414953

Youth Mass
The next Youth Mass will be on Sunday 30th December at 5.30pm with a rehearsal at 4.30pm in the Friary Hall. All welcome.

Rome Pilgrimage
Pilgrimage to Rome - 9th – 13th June 2008. The cost will be £550, single supplement £60. For further details, please contact Chris Blake on 520737 or address written requests to her via the Friary Office.

Our Catholic Faith
The Our Catholic Faith course resumes in January, with four talks by Wonersh lecturer Roger Mortimore, who is looking at The New Testament. Venue: the Friary Hall. Time 7.30pm to 9.30pm. Dates: 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th January.  This course also counts as one core module for those wanting to take a CCRS certificate and is open to all.

CAFOD Walk

Thank you to all those who came and supported the children on their walk for seeds and piglets around Tilgate Lake last Sunday. It was a great experience. A special thank you to Father Christmas who made a surprise visit to St Bernadette’s, to Steve Bowles for the games and to the Mums – Fiona and Yvonne who organised the party so well.

Pound Hill & Copthorne

Early warning!
On Sunday 6th January from 1pm to 5pm, the hall is being used by the Diocesan Family Group who traveled to Lourdes on pilgrimage in the Summer. The afternoon will finish with Mass at about 4pm. Parishioners will be most welcome.

Detainees at Gatwick
There was a great response to the request for toiletries for Gatwick Detainees. Thank you to all who contributed items, they will be greatly appreciated. Sr Eilish
