Nowadays not all computer problems need a visit. We continue to successfully help clients and friends using remote control software such as UltraVNC (free) software. This program has two parts, a client and a server program (just like a telephone call has two parties) and allows one person to drive the mouse and keyboard of the remote computer. UltraVNC is still a very secure way to receive help because:-

• the program needs you at the computer to "pick up" the incoming call.
• you can see everything that happens on the screen (its a little spooky to see the mouse flying around the screen when being driven by someone remotely)
• you can remain in contact with whoever is helping you.
