This is one of the best free tests that you can do to check the security of your internet connections. Its a series of tests performed by a remote computer that simulates a hacker attacking your computer and reports back to you what it finds.

When you arrive at the Sheilds up web site, select the Proceed button in the middle of the page. Failure of any of these tests could mean you are at risk from internet hacker attacks. File Sharing Test. Select the File Sharing button. To be secure on the internet this test should not result in any problems. If you have any failures its time to worry as this could mean all your files are available for anyone on the internet to access.

Common Ports Test. Select the Common Ports button. To be secure on the internet this test should not result in any problems. If there are any failures it could mean that for the right hacker they can gain access to the files on your computer.

All Service Ports Test. Select the All service ports button. To be totally secure from the best hackers this test should not result in any failures. If there are any failures it could mean vulnerabilities from hackers gaining access to the files on your computer.
