The Cameron’s are a large, extremely happy family with a passion for racing and Hill Climbing. My father Tim started in 1958 first riding Brough Superiors, Triumphs and BSA Motorcycles and progressed through Morgan three wheelers to a Cooper, an Emeryson, Formula Fords, Formula 5000, Karts, and now Formula Jedi 1000cc.

Dad (left) also found time to produce eight children (5 girls and three boys of which all the boys and one girl race!) and get in the Guinness Book of Records for not only descending to the bottom of the World’s deepest Pothole but also climbing out to tell everyone! 

 I (Ewan Cameron Racing Engines MD) am 37, a father of four and I’ve raced since I was 13yrs old, I started Motocrossing and still occasionally race my 2002 KTM 525cc dirt bike. My Historic racing has been on a 500cc Velocette, a Halecjap, then in a Three-wheeler on to a Cooper Jap F3 and now a Jedi 1000. Even my girlfriend’s brother, Darren Hope races, he passengers Nick Crowe’s 600cc F2 sidecar outfit and they’ve won a couple of IOM TTs! 

My sister Amy Chambers is 38 a mother of three and a Garden designer. She started her first full season in the British Formula Renault Cleo Cup 2005 and is doing well. 

Dave, my 22-year-old brother is an RAF Helicopter engineer and was 3^rd in the British formula Jedi Championship in 2005. 

Arty, my 19-year-old brother was 1st in Jedi 1000 Monoposto championship in 2005. 

Mum Rose is very musical and plays and sings in local orchestra! 

We have always prepared all our own machinery and between us have numerous Circuit lap records and Hill Climb FTDs. Cameron Racing Engines was founded in 2003 to provide our expertise for those of you who cannot do the work yourselves or can but need parts or specialist machining.

We have the skills, the experience and the passion to produce the finest job that money can buy.
