Thanks to players of the Postcode Lottery in the North East 50 rough sleepers have been given the chance to keep warm this winter.

GoodFund, the Postcode Lottery’s Charity arm has donated £2,000 to provide winter survival kits for those sleeping on the streets.

The kits were made up of a sleeping bag, hat, gloves, scarf, fleece, socks, trainers and a bag to carry it all in.  The pack also includes a flask, which can be filled up with soup before the centre closes for the night.
