Soroptimist International of Newcastle upon Tyne, have been supporting the work of BBHA for some years. This year regular monthly donations have been made of tea, coffee and biscuits to the Joseph Cowen Healthcare Centre. Also, the regular drop of Christmas presents for female residents and service users at the Joseph Cowen Healthcare Centre were gratefully received and brought a smile to many a female resident faces.

'Newcastle Soroptimists are please to be associated with Byker Bridge as so much of the work done by this organisation fulfils the SI's aims and objectives. Together we feel that we are supporting work that recognises human rights and the need to raise the status of women, particularly in the areas of education, economic and social development as well as providing health care services.'
