Welcome to Christmas 2008!
Since losing sponsorship in 2007, the band have fought extremely hard to survive through various methods including concerts, Christmas caroling and contest successes.
To enable the band to carry on with their success on the contest stage, the Christmas period is essential to enable the band to raise money. With this in mind, if you are interested in booking the band over the Christmas period for any special events, we would be delighted to be able to perform to a new audience and raise some money to secure the band’s existence for the following year – without the funds the band works so hard to secure over Christmas, the band is unlikely to survive another year, despite the hard work of all involved.
The band worked extremely hard last Christmas performing at various concerts and playing carols in Merseyway Stockport, Sainsburys Hazel Grove, Morrisons Bredbury and Tesco Extra in Stockport. This enabled us to raise money to help us through the year and to continue to perform throughout the area with numerous concerts including St Georges Church and Vernon Park in Stockport. The band has also managed to fight on through a very successful contest season and also a spectacular performance at the Whit Friday March Contests.
This Christmas we are hoping to be able to raise enough funds to continue through next year, and many more as we continue in our search for a new sponsor.
We are able to provide different sized groups for any of your requirements from a full band concert including both festive music and more traditional brass band repertoire along with some fun pieces thrown in, to a small group to play carols for your function.
