Housing

part of the Brewood and Coven Parish Community Web Site

The Parish Council has consistently opposed development in the Green Belt but, like other parishes, Coven has had to take its share of new housing development. The most recent development within the village have been detached houses at Birchcroft,  a mixed housing development of fifty-seven, 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedroom properties at Penkside Walk, Brewood Road and most recently apartments at Cross Green overlooking the Three Hammers Golf Complex.

Coven is lucky in that it boasts a very fine sheltered housing development for the elderly - Coven Court. This, along with a number of warden controlled bungalows, are now owned and administered by the South Staffordshire Housing Association who took over all the housing stock of South Staffordshire Council under a 1997 voluntary transfer scheme.
