The Bowmen of Adel are keen for
members to take part in all aspects
of the sport shooting as individuals for fun or competitatively, or as
part of a team. Over the years members taking part in tournaments have
often brought back team trophies but this has not been organised in any
way. This year the committee is pleased to announce that Som de Silva
has been appointed as team squad manager.
Som is hoping to organise training for anyone who wishes to
join the squad. All we ask of you is that you take part in three
training sessions during the summer season and are prepared to enter at
least three open competitions in the 2008 summer season.
We will have three squads: Junior recurve; senior recurve;
and longbow.
Team events
TOURNAMENTS
The team squad manager will identify a number of tournaments
over the summer at which the club will enter sufficient memebrs to make
up a team.
The first longbow tournament will be:
10th May Chantry - 2-way Western
The first recurve and longbow tournament will be:
18th May Selby -Westerns
TRAINING
Training will start on Friday 29th February at The Forum.
Then on Friday evening and/or Sunday mornings at 11am. Some
weekends we will invite a county coach to come and troubleshoot our
technique. For details please contact Som at the club.
