Starting
archery
at
Adel
The
Bowmen of Adel welcome new members of all abilities. Our only
requirement
is that you have completed a five week beginners course.In 2012, we shall be holding three Beginners' Courses, each five weeks long, on Thursday evenings If you are
already an archer but
looking
for a new club please e-mail Nick.

Courses start at 6:30pm, to enable equipment to be set up to start training at 7:00pm; they finish when the light fades! We accept children aged 9 and over; children must be accompanied by an adult (who may be on the course). Children should be able to appreciate safety-critical rules and to be able to concentrate through an evening of teaching.
The cost of the course is
£40 per adult,
£25 per child (under 18),
£80 per family (one adult and 2+ children – an extra £30 for an additional adult)
£70 per adult couple.
The course fees include insurance and use of club equipment

Getting started
The best way to get started is to come along to a have-a-go day when members of the public and friends are invited to try out the sport.
There will be a small charge. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the have-a-go. Minimum age is 9. |
Learning to shoot
If you have already had a taste of archery and want to take it further you will need to go on a course before you can join any archery club. If you are interested in taking a beginners course at Adel please see above.

Have-a-go

MONDAY – MAY 2013 - we will announce the date closer to the event*** –We usually hold four 50 minute sessions,
starting at
12noon, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm
You do not need to have any archery equipment as this will be provided
on the day. However, you will need to wear suitable clothing. Aim to
keep warm and dry by wearing two or three thin layers. Try and select
clothing that is not too baggy, especially on the upper body and arms.
Again, wear sensible shoes or boots. As we cannot guarantee good
weather, bring something waterproof.
