GRANT NEWS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

 

The BDHS is pleased to announce, and acknowledge the receipt of the following grants:-

 

                                                      Constance E Travis Trust                  £     600

                                                      Maud Elkington Charitable Trust     £     750

                                                      Marc Fitch Fund                                    £  3,162

                                                      Awards for All                                        £  9,520

                                                      Sixty Six Club Trust Fund                  £10,000

 

 

The smaller grants are specific to certain projects linked with preservation and conservation activities.  

 

The Awards for All grant is to support two events that will be held in Warrington and in Liverpool during 2008.

 

The Sixty Six Club Trust grant is also to go towards some preservation and conservation activities but a proportion of the grant will also be used to provide mobile display materials to bring Deaf History to a wider public and to provide exhibition space in Warrington.  

 

The BDHS gratefully acknowledges a payment of £695 for a new

fund which has been designated by AFD Memorial Fund.
