I’ve
designed this site with the minimum of on-screen fuss. I hope the appearance,
content, and navigation are clear and straightforward. I want the site to be
easy to use as well as interesting to read. I recommend you view this site with
your Display screen area at least 800 by 600 pixels. (Put your mouse pointer
over this suggestion here
to find out how to do that.)
This page
explains how you can use the site, and information about copyright:

Changing your Display screen settings
The web
site’s main menu is the list starting with Home Page to
the right of this text. If you can’t see the final entry in the list (which is Acknowledgements) then you need either to resize your
browser window or to change your settings for Display screen area.
To view
pages in this site, click on the entries in the main menu. That menu is always
visible, but the contents of this display window will change.
There is
more detail about my books, so when you click on those titles you will see a
second menu appear (along with a small image of the book cover). That is
another menu that will stay visible so long as you are looking at information
about that book. You can still use the main menu, of course.
By
popular demand, I’ve provided Adobe® Portable Document Format (PDF) versions of
many documents on this site. You may prefer to print these versions rather than
the web pages, or to download them and read them offline. To do that, you’ll
need to use Adobe
Acrobat® Reader®..
And if you don’t have that, you can download it for free from the Adobe
download page.
You can
tell when there’s a PDF version of a document when you see the blue-and-white
booklet image. Click on that to download the file.
A polite
reminder: everything on this site is copyright. Most of it is my copyright. You
may not reuse or republish anything in these pages without my prior permission
(but feel free to ask me). “Reuse or republish” covers any
form of hardcopy, softcopy, and web formats.
It also
applies to links: I am happy for you to link to this site. Again, please ask me, not only as a courtesy, but also
because I can let you know if I change web URLs. I will request that you link
to http://anghelides.org (not to
individual pages) and that you do not incorporate my pages within your own
frames.
All links
to pages other than my own will either refresh the whole browser window or
launch a new browser window. I have endeavoured to identify where I use other
people’s copyright material, and to credit them in the Acknowledgements page. If I have inadvertently
overlooked anyone or anything, please let me know.
I hope
this doesn’t all sound unreasonable. Most of the material on these pages has
been subject to previous contracts with publishing companies.
Many
sites are designed for a Screen area of 800 by 600 pixels. You may want to
change your settings to that. When I looked at the visitor date for my previous
site, almost everyone was using Microsoft Windows (sorry, Mac users). So here
is how to change your Display screen settings:
1.
Click Start, then Settings,
then Control Panel.
2.
Open Display, and
then click on the Settings tab
3.
Adjust the Screen area
slider, and press OK.
You may
find this site (and others) looks even better at 1024 by 768 pixels or higher.
Please
let me know what you think of the site: its content, its design, what else
you’d like to see, anything you’d like me to know. You can click here
or wherever you see the envelope icon or on the Contact Peter A link in the main menu to the left.
