Oswestry and District Poultry Society Spring Show 3^rd May

It was a lovely start to the show season on Saturday with beautiful sunshine and a chance to catch up with old friends.

Large Fowl results:

Bantam show results:

Lemon Porcelain Dutch Male – 2^nd

Lemon Porcelain Dutch Female – 1^st

Partridge Pekin Female – 2^nd

The West Mid Show 21st June

A wet and cold show this year, but we enjoyed our day. We took a team of 8 birds and 2 eggs which proved very successful especially as most birds were bred in 2008 so this was their showing debut.

Large Fowl results:

Araucana cockerel - 2nd

Speckled Sussex hen - 1st

Green legged Partridge pullet - 2nd

Bantam show results:

White Pekin pullet - 1st

Gold Partridge Pekin pullet - 1st

Black pekin cockerel - 3rd

Serama cockerel - 1st

Vorwerk pullet - 1st and best rare breed

Eggs:

Single large fowl A.C - 3rd

Single bantam A.C - 1st and reserve champion

 Oswestry & District Agricultural Show 2nd August

A small team of birds went to Oswestry show and most were 2008 hatched.

 Oswestry and District Poultry Society Autumn Show, 4th October

Oswestry show as usual was a pleasure to attend and it was lovely to catch up with fellow breeders from all over the UK. I was delighted to see so many Seramas offering a good display of this charming breed with them competing for the first rosettes offered by the Serama Club GB.
