Diana Armfieled
Born 1920, Ringwood, Hampshire. Studied
at Slade School of Fine Art and Central School of Arts
and Crafts. Since
1959 Diana has taught at Byam Shaw School of Art. Until 1965
she worked as a textile and wallpaper designer, her designs
are in a permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert
Museum. She lives in London and in Wales and works also in
France and Italy. Known especially as a painter of flowers
and for her landscapes of Tuscany, Venice and North Wales.
Her work has been shown regularly at the Royal Academy since
1965 in the Summer Exhibition. A Member of the Royal Watercolour
Society, New English Art Club, Royal West of England Academy,
Royal Cambrian Academy, and The Pastel Society. Literature
