FEGIME (UK) means purchasing power - a power that enables even the smaller independent electrical wholesaler to compete effectively with the major national distributors.  Our negotiating teams, drawn from the membership, are used to obtain competitive terms.  

With a countrywide membership and a combined annual turnover of over £182 million, FEGIME (UK) is not only able to negotiate high-value annual buying agreements with its 100 plus suppliers, but also special deals and promotions throughout the year.  Our personal relationships with key people within the industry helps us to achieve this.

Hard to believe, then, that FEGIME (UK) started life in May 1969 as a group of just five London- based wholesalers.  Such was their success that, following incorporation as a limited company in 1975, the group expanded nationwide, moving its head office to a central location in Lutterworth, Leicestershire in June 1986.  FEGIME (UK) now boasts a network of ninety nine branches across the UK, providing a convenient local service to members and suppliers throughout the country.

In 2006 the Head Office moved to more spacious premises, still in Lutterworth but on the first floor of one of the town’s most attractive listed buildings. The new offices have a large boardroom with AV facilities enabling suppliers to easily make presentations to members.
