Truly free Tidal prediction program (thanks to Hans Pieper) click here to download. Runs in DOS window. I have used this and it seems pretty accurate for all the ports I've tried with it.

Jury undecided on Ouzo incident. The officer involved in the Pride of Bilbao accident with the yacht Ouzo has been cleared of Manslaughter charges. However,the jury could not reach a verdict on the charges of endangering the mens lives under the Merchant Shipping Act. Read more here (PBO) or here (BBC)
The
Earls Court Boat Show is back!
It seems to be in competition with the London
Boat Show (in the Excel exhibition centre) which has been running since
2003. We now have a choice of boat shows to attend this winter. The Earls Court
event is in early December and the London Boat Show is in early January. I expect
attendance will be shared between the two.S
