Auto Gearbox Specialists are specialists exclusively in automatic transmission reconditioning and many of our team have over 30 years experience working solely with automatic transmissions.

We were established in 1983 as Sussex Auto Services specialising solely in the reconditioning of automatic transmissions. In 2007 we changed our trading name to Automatic Gearbox Specialists and in 2008 the key staff and customers from a leading Brighton transmission company that was closing down joined us here in Hailsham. Auto Gearbox Specialists recondition & repair all makes and types of automatic transmission, from an old Jaguar 3 speed unit from the 1960's up to the modern 7/8 speed units found in vehicles today. We have invested heavily in diagnostic scanners and software to keep pace with developing automatic gearbox technology.
