Following a successful year it would be only too easy to rest on our laurels and keep to the status quo, but in Rotary, as in all walks of life, self satisfaction leads to a steady decline, so the status quo is a non-starter.

Therefore the aims for 2007 - 08 are again to attempt to increase our membership and to provide an interesting and varied programme of social events and meetings.

To this end it is essential that all members feel involved by making suggestions of possible speakers to Rtn. John Huxley, the Programme Organiser, these suggestions could even help re-introduce a long-standing Rotary tradition by members to speak about their own area of work  - or hobby interest.

Our strengths are that we are a friendly Club with a wide age profile and an even split of gender.

We meet at a venue that offers good value for money, prospective new members are welcomed and where speakers are tempted to join.

New members are encouraged to become involved in the organisation of events and the Club administration and everyone is made welcome whether as a visiting Rotarian or as someone who is showing an interest in finding out more about Rotary and our organisation.

Therefore the aims of the Membership Service committee will be to develop what are seen as best practices, listen to any concerns regarding the running of the Club and make plans and take appropriate action to alleviate any problems.
