Vibetek sensor cables can be supplied pre-installed in a flexible stainless steel conduit. This provides a considerable degree of mechanical protection for the Vibetek cable, without incurring the expense of installing a conventional rigid steel conduit. Vibetek in flexible conduit is ideally suited to perimeter security applications; it is readily attached to chain link and welded mesh fences using plastic or stainless steel cable ties. For palisade fences, special clips are available to attach the conduit firmly to the cross rails.
The conduit is constructed from a flat strip that is formed into an interlocking profile which is then helically wound into a flexible tube. The conduit is highly flexible, with excellent tensile strength and crush resistance. A minimum of 1 metre of Vibetek cable protrudes from each end of the conduit, to facilitate jointing. Where the cable leaves the conduit, it is protected by a small plastic ferrule. The conduit is corrosion resistant and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
It is supplied cut to customer’s requirements, wound on plastic reels. The maximum length of conduit that can be supplied is 100 metres. Please discuss specific requirements with Ormal Electronics.
