The Company
The company was set up in March 1997, initially to manufacture the Vibetek® range of piezoelectric cables, but with the longer term aim of establishing the company as a designer and manufacturer of innovative sensor cable products and electronic systems. This aim has largely been realised and the company now manufactures a range of specialist sensor cable products that have been developed in-house, both for general sale and for exclusive supply to OEM customers. Ormal Electronics has undertaken several successful turnkey electronic product development projects and now batch builds the finished products for these clients. The company also provides a range of mechanical engineering services for OEM customers, in its well equipped modern mechanical workshop.
The Factory
The company is based in a new factory unit in rural Wiltshire, within easy reach of Heathrow Airport and the national motorway network. The factory is equipped with a modern wire and cable extrusion line, several braiders and the high voltage “poling” equipment that gives Vibetek cable its interesting properties. A quality control area provides everything necessary to maintain the quality and traceability of products.
