Meet the new Chairman of the Arts Centre who has recently succeeded Mike Hann whose hard work and enthusiasm have been a major factor in keeping the concept of a Letchworth Arts Centre alive and bringing us to where we are today. He is keen to know what we;re doing right, what we are doing wrong and what else you would like to see.

Maria Iredale is our brilliant Chief Executive. She is responsible to the Trustees for the strategic development and artistic direction of the centre.

Linda Carson is our Operations Manager, responsible for all operational and logistics aspects of the Centre.

Jean Andrews has been a trustee for seven years and has been a mainstay in keeping the Centre open through its hard times before reorganisation and refurbishment.

Yearun Nehar is our fantastic Exhibitions Curator, who is responsible for planning the exhibitions in all three of our galleries, her hard work has ensured that we have a full programme of exhibitions running through the year.

Ann Crook a trustee of the Arts Centre in its previous incarnation for seven years has a special interest in education and drama and with her experience as a trustee of Royal Mencap, the Artability Project for people with learming disablilities, Ann firmly believes the Centre is an important community resource for people of all ages.

Dawn Dominic was a successful business development and strategy expert who is now an art student. Being a trustee is important to Dawn and the Centre will benefit from her business experience.

Mike Hann has been associated with the Letchworth Arts Centre sice it was first set up by James Willis and Rosemary Bianchi as 'The Place' 10 years ago. Over the years he has contributed as a volunteer, handyman, trustee, company secretary and most recently as Chairman of the trustees.

Michael Paterson is the NHDC nominated member.

And not forgetting of course our team of friendly volunteers who help with the every day running of the Centre!

The Letchworth Arts Centre is currently looking to strengthen it’s management structure by recruiting new members to its Board of Trustees.

If you have a business, charity or arts background and feel you have the time and the skills to support us then please get in touch on info@letchwortharts.org

The Trustees meet once a month for an operational meeting and then quarterly for a strategy meeting. 
Your role can be broad depending on your skills or it could be focused on the analysis and development of an area of the organisation.

If you have the time to commit to the meetings and any necessary follow up (this can be as much or as little as you like) then we would like to hear from you!
