Welcome to the Letchworth Arts Centre (LAC) which is located in Letchworth Garden City, where delicious homemade food and the Arts combine in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

We offer the following:

A suite of three gallery spaces - with a year-long programme of diverse artists showing work of national and international acclaim.

A wide education programme for children - with classes in art, drama and music. Courses for adults too - in subjects ranging from Creative Writing to Watercolours.

Special Events - ranging from Jazz evenings and a monthly Comedy Club for adults to discos and story-telling for children.

The Arts Centre Cafe - offering great food and drink in our light and airy cafe.

Lifts from the ground floor provide full wheelchair/pushchair access.

WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY FROM 10.00am UNTIL LATE SO DO POP BY SOON!

Letchworth Arts Centre's Highlights

Ash Live Performance

One of the big news stories for us recently has been the fact that the well known Irish Indie band 'Ash' played a gig at the Arts Centre. Who came to perform some tracks from their lates albulm 'Twilight of the Innocents'

The beats and rhymes were pumped through the evening, giving this performancee pride of place under our highlights section!

The arts centre runs a regular programme of music events, with live Indie bands playing one saturday a month. Check our music events programme for further info

Great Exhibitions -
With the likes of Jack Vettriano and Berryl Cook exhibiting

We offer a regularly changing programme of exhibitions showing new and exciting work in a range of media. The arts centre is growing in diversity and in it's good reputation, which can also be noted in our year-long exhibition programme.

Previous exhibitors have included artists of international acclaim such as Beryl Cook and Jack Vettriano. We also showcase local talent and have, for example, displayed the drawings and paintings of Letchworth by local artist Nick Jones.

Children's Disco

The little children are also catered for, and another highlight is our monthly children's disco that is conducted by the local well known DJ Big Steve and his trained dancers.

This disco is a great way to keep you and your kids entertained, and it's only 50 pence per child which includes juice and biscuits!
