Hitchcock’s is a restaurant and foodstore serving lunch from Tuesday to Sunday and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.

Chef Cinzia Ghignoni cooks everything from British classics, such as steamed rabbit pudding or home-cured salt beef; from French classics such as jambon persillé to boeuf bourguignon; from Italian classics such as ossobuco with risotto alla Milanese to tagliatelle with courgettes and saffron cream; and fish dishes from potted shrimps to poached skate wing with black butter.

..........is open from 10.30am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday. It stocks a wide range of dried goods, such as rice, fresh pasta imported by ourselves, sauces, olive oils, vinegars, confectionery from nougat to biscuits, pralines and jellies, mustards and pickles, teas and coffee, and local juices and beers and specially imported Italian wines. We also have a large range of homemade jams and chutneys as well as freshly baked cakes and bread.

Although the Cheese Room has now closed, we continue to stock a smaller, but regular list of Neal’s Yard and La Fromagerie cheeses and to sell a range of charcuterie. Please come in or call for details
