Homes For Scotland Design Award

17/04/2006

St Andrews based developers Headon Developments have been shortlisted for a Homes For Scotland Design Award for their development at Southfield Court, St Andrews, one of only 2 developments in Fife to be shortlisted. The bi-annual awards will take place with a lunch ceremony on Friday 19 May 2006 at the Sheraton Hotel, Edinburgh.

The development designed by local architects Walker and Pride and situated off Kinnessburn Road, St Andrews consists of ten 3, 4 and 5 bedroom apartments. Formerly a carpet warehouse with waste garden ground to the rear, the development sits effortlessly into the streetscape and lends itself to the surrounding properties with its use of natural materials. The developer also implemented an improved access road to the existing properties at Southfield and impressive landscaping which has transformed the overall aspect of the area.

Joe Headon, Managing Director adds:

"We are delighted to be shortlisted as the awards give consideration to a number of design factors. Southfield is a great example of how a new building can interact with and bring to life a well established area"
