In and Around the Area

We are lucky enough to have not one but two beautiful beaches within a short walk of Headland House

The Wonderful Beaches at Carbis Bay (left) and Porthkidney beach

Carbis Bay Beach has been awarded the much coveted Blue Flag award for 2006.

We are extremely lucky to have many beautiful places to visit and things to do for people of all ages.

The Tate is just behind Porthmeor beach in the centre of town and a must visit for art lovers.  St Ives is also home to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and the Leach Pottery.

If walking is your thing, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of the seals or even a dolphin which frequent the bay area during the spring and summer months.

Take a leisurely drive or hop on the local train over to Penzance and St Michaels Mount at Marazion.

A must for visitors to the area is a day at the Eden Project. Educational, fun, informative and interesting.  About 40 minutes away by car..
