All of us at Gower support the Community Foundation with donations, sponsored activities and volunteer staff.

The Calderdale Community Foundation is a platform for building community. A non-profit charitable organisation created by and for the people of the community and to help donors do good work in the community.

The Foundation’s Grant Programme provides literally hundreds of grants to voluntary and community groups across the length and breadth of Calderdale, enabling voluntary sector groups to sustain their valuable contribution to improving the quality of life in Calderdale.

Being a member of the Foundation provides a positive answer in that we have a channel for such requests, safe in the knowledge that donation decisions are left to the ‘experts’ who have knowledge of the local community and where help is most needed."
