The Café at Forthspring re-opened in January 03, with the appointment of a new Café Manager, Margaret Mc Keown.
We would like to thank the Henry Smith Trust for grant aiding the salary of this post, as well as the Tudor Trust who helped with refurbishment costs.
The café is now serving approximately 150 meals per week to local senior citizens and residents and provides the only safe place where local Catholic and Protestants can meet in a non-threatening environment to share a cup of tea etc.
We have been extremely lucky to have the dedication of a number of local people who volunteer in the Café on a daily basis, as without their help we would be unable to provide this much needed service.
