All E-1 wiring installations utilise our automotive CANbus multiplex system as standard. Our CANbus Controllers all communicate directly with the chassis cab ECU’s (via J1939 interface), providing complete information flow between chassis cab and bodybuilder electrical systems, without the need for additional (and often unreliable) signal wiring.

Each vehicle CANbus Controller is programmed to meet all regulatory safety and operation requirement in place at time of commissioning. Additional user-specific functionality is easily programmed (at no cost) to suit any region specific requirements.

CANbus switch panels (2 x 6 switch) are installed as standard on the appliance dashboard, within easy operable reach of the driver. These switches can all be configured to suit individual user / system requirements if required, but as standard all feature two Multifunction Switches, namely 999 and Arrive At Scene. These are pre-programmed to activate an array of systems automatically, with individual systems having manual over-ride as standard.

In addition, Emergency One (UK) Limited install an additional Multifunction Switch, Pre-Check on every appliance. This switch is accessible at the driver’s door from ground level, and is active with or without the appliance battery Master Switch connected. Pre-Check activates all bodybuilder lighting for 90 seconds, facilitating simple on-station system integrity checks.
