Side view showing top weld and curve of the fixing strap. The strap is 1 inch by 1/8th flat steel which requires a hammer to form to the correct curve. Not difficult. Wing fastenings are 1/4 chrome dome bolts but I am going to change them to polished stainless later. Note the standoff of the mounting plate this is to ensure the stays pass the side of the wheel, it also aids alignment of the wing relative to the tyre. The difference is that these stays do not dance about when the car is at idle and are quite solid when on the move.
