Sample lesson

1st Principle

Forget all silent letters - just write exactly what you hear.

Example:
are      few        know 

2nd Principle

Leave short vowels out - only write long vowels like 'a' as in 'May'; 'e' as in 'eat';'i' as in 'ice'; 'o' as in 'own'; 'u' as in 'you'.

Example:
sail      sea       file 

3rd Principle

Always write a vowel that's at the beginning of a word.

Example:
off      own        if 

4th Principle

Write for the sound 'k', or hard 'c' as in 'cut'.

Example:
case      could        lock 

5th Principle

Write for the sound 'j', or soft 'g' as in 'age'.

Example:
age      judge        college 

6th Principle

Write for the sound 'ch'.

Example:
cheap      each        touch 

Brief Forms

Some words occur very often - and these brief forms help you write them faster.

Example:
and             can             is 
the      it        for      of

Note: the letter 'M' is treamlined and written without the centre stroke:
