Safety
D.W.Tilley Ltd have an excellent record on safety and we are fully committed to ensuring all our contracts are carried out within the guidelines of the Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 and CDM Regulations 1994.
Our quotations allow for all necessary safety and access scaffolding together with safety netting where appropriate.
Where the client wishes to continue working as roofing renewal is in progress, we can provide scaffolding protection below the roof level to minimise disruption.
Our safety procedures are constantly reviewed and discussed by our safety officer with all our staff and workforce. D.W.Tilley Ltd are particularly experienced in the safe removal and disposal of asbestos cement roofing.
Training
All roofing operatives working on behalf of D.W.Tilley Ltd, have been through a Roofworking Safety Awareness course.
This is a CITB approved course that covers planning for roofwork safety, safety considerations, risk assessment, fragile roofs, safe access and egress, roof edge protection requirements, belts, harnesses and nets and the legal responsibility of the roof worker.
In addition all operatives have CITB approved training for abrasive wheel use, and mobile platform operation, chargehands have forklift certificates and PASMA aluminium tower erection certificates.
Clients can be assured that D.W.Tilley Ltd operatives are fully trained and have certificates to work at height.
