As well as providing data monitoring services for large wind farm developments, Chillwind are also involved in other renewable energy technology projects. These have covered many diverse areas including stand alone wind/pv systems, small hydro schemes and low energy housing. Some examples are listed below:

   
 

Improved energy efficiency of vertical shaft lime kilns in Zimbabwe. Design and installation of monitoring system analysis of data and production report. Intermediate Technology/ODA project completed May 1999.

   
 

Low energy house/office built using local timber resources and powered exclusively by wind and solar energy. Completed September 2000.

   
 

Design and installation of wind/PV water pumping system for private estate in Highland Scotland. System commissioned October 1997

 

An electricity system for the Isle of Canna. National Trust for Scotland, completed November 1996.

 

Small scale Hydro electric system for Hotel in Perthshire. Feasibility study completed March 1995.
